Premade S’mores Recipe Ingredients
- Marshmallows
- Hershey’s Chocolate Bars
- Graham Crackers
- Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- White Chocolate Chips
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Break the graham crackers in half and arrange as many as you can on a microwavable plate so that they are all laying flat. Depending on the number of people you are serving, you will probably need to repeat this step multiple times.
Tip– On average, guests eat about two s’mores treats.
One More– I started breaking the grahams in half with a large knife to “try” to prevent them from unevenly splitting, but my “brilliant idea” (LOL) didn’t work out as planned. They were cracking everywhere! Breaking them in half with your hands works best.
Step 2
Break apart the Hershey’s chocolate bars and place two individual chocolate rectangles on each graham cracker. Place in the microwave for 30-40 seconds, just until the chocolate starts to soften. You don’t want it dripping off the cracker.
Step 3
Place another row of graham crackers on a microwavable plate and put a regular-sized marshmallow on top of each one. Microwave for about 20 seconds; just long enough so the marshmallows start to puff up.
Step 4
Place the melted chocolate graham on top of the softened marshmallow graham. Be careful that you DON’T smoosh too much so that it starts oozing on the sides. The goal is to make them as square and compact as possible so you can easily coat each one with melted chocolate. Once they are all assembled, place them in the freezer for 5-10 minutes to create a “glued” effect.
Step 5
Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwavable bowl for one minute. Then stir the chips and place them back in the microwave for additional melting, if needed, in 15-second increments. Do this until the chocolate is completely melted and ready for dipping.
Step 6
Dip each s’more, on one side, in the melted chocolate, and once they are all covered, place them on a cookie sheet in the freezer for 5-10 minutes. Use a spoon to help with coating the sides of the s’mores so they are well covered.
Step 7
Melt the white chocolate for one minute in the microwave. Then take it out and stir. Place back in the microwave, if needed, for 15-second increments until it reaches a smooth melted consistency.
Step 8
Pour the melted white chocolate into a piping bag or a Ziploc bag and cut a tiny hole in one of the corners. Create a pretty design on each of the s’more’s “faces” by creating a zigzag pattern with white chocolate. Then place them in the freezer again to set quickly, arrange them on a pretty platter, and enjoy.
Additional Preassembled S’mores Ideas
- Test various flavors by adding different types of chocolate, such as Reese’s or Ghirardelli Salted Caramel Squares, to add a fun twist to your premade s’mores.
- Use flavored marshmallows, such as coconut or strawberry, to introduce tasty new flavor combos.
- Add a dollop of peanut butter or Nutella before assembling the s’mores for an extra burst of yumminess.
- Use marshmallow fluff instead of regular marshmallows for an already “melted” effect.
- Sprinkle with crushed graham crackers and sprinkles, or drizzle caramel on top for an extra fancy look and a burst of flavor.
Storing and Serving
- Store your premade s’mores in an airtight container or Ziploc bag.
- Make the day before or the day of your party so the graham crackers don’t get soggy.
- They hold up best if kept at room temperature so the chocolate-dipped sides won’t melt.
- These classic treats are perfect for picnics, camping trips, birthdays, or as an easy dessert option for any special event.
