P.S. A Note of Encouragement
Notice how far you have come! While looking through some old journals the other day I came across a word the Lord spoke a while ago, that resonated with me again, today. I wanted to share it with you so you, too, could be encouraged. The word was, “You have a hard time seeing progress.”
Can you relate? If you are like me, you REALLY like to see the ENTIRE picture complete. The part of a project I like best is when it’s OVER and I can see whole enchilada. I must be on a roll today with the puns. Lol!
I feel the encouragement of the Father when He tells me that even though I have a hard time seeing the progress now, He will help me enjoy the journey as I let Him change me. Do you want to be able to enjoy the small steps of progress today, too?
May I encourage you? When we are able to SEE the smaller positive steps towards growth, it can make the journey more exciting and help us grow in greater ways, along the WAY. When we can only rejoice with the FINISHED project, it’s a lot easier to be negative focused because there are still pieces that are missing. Today will be a little more satisfying when we focus on the progress we have made (glass half full), instead of how far we still have to go (glass half empty).
I say all of that to say, to you and to me, “Enjoy the journey!” Intentionally look at the progress you have made and be proud of yourself. You will achieve your goals, but don’t miss the little milestones that will make your progress so much more enjoyable.
