This post is all about Valentine’s Day party ideas.
It all started with prayer, and Pinterest-dreaming sessions, when I started pondering the details of what this Valentine’s Day Party would look like. My heart was for everyone attending to feel so loved and encouraged as some were walking through divorces, health issues, and discouragement. A Valentine’s Day lunch party with lots of delicious food, giveaways, and treasures would pave the way to making this happen.
Valentine’s Party Door DĂ©cor
I love to start the party outside for my guests to see as they pull up. It gives them a taste for what is to come on the inside. These three fabric hearts came together so easily with just some cut up red fabric strips, hot glue, and foam poster board. This design works best with a metal door so the magnets will stick. Such a fun Valentine’s Day party idea.
Valentine’s Day Party Food Ideas
The menu had to be yummy and pleasing to multiple palates, so I decided to reach out to a favorite Mediterranean restaurant of mine, Pita Way, to see if they wanted to create a partnership. I spoke with their marketing director and was thrilled when he said yes. I was in awe when he said they wanted to get behind my mission! Such a miracle and a testimony to how much God was already starting to pour out His love on my beautiful guests.
If you also have a desire to reach out and show love to your community, and want to put this Valentine’s Day party idea into action, let me encourage you to be brave. Reach out to those local restaurants that you personally love and support and share with them your mission. See if they want to be a part of it. You never know what sort of partnerships could ensue if you just reach out.
Valentine’s Day Party Desserts
Cupcakes were on my mind as being essential for helping lavish love. I reached out to another local store, a charming bakery in our town, Union General Cupcakery, and told them my vision. They too decided to partner with me and provided an assortment of gourmet cupcakes.
I had special gift bags, one intentionally prepared for each woman present, embellished with XOXO stickers to take home. They were stuffed with these cupcakes, Mediterranean food coupons, and loads of love. Another miracle moment with supporting my mission!
Even though the ladies were going to have cupcakes in their gift bags to enjoy after they went home, I wanted to have some sweet treats available at the Valentine’s Day party too. My sister, Angela, was so kind to bring her culinary expertise to the table when she made homemade macarons, raspberry cookies, lemon bars, cake pops, and more. They were all so delicious! I was grateful to have her assistance and support and could NOT have done it without her! She was my second pair of hands. She had such a servant’s heart and poured out kindness and love the entire time.
If you want to host a Valentine’s Party for your girlfriends and need an easy yet chic idea for a take-home treat (I love to send my guests home with a treat), place a gorgeous frosted cupcake inside of an embellished gift bag. Take a peek here to see how to make my Sheet Fringe. It’s such a versatile decoration you can add to almost any gift or bag. You can glue it onto your favorite pink Valentine bag. If you are wondering where you can find cost-effective blush pink gift bags in larger quantities, I’ve seen them at Five Below and Target.
Valentine’s Day Party Centerpiece Idea
What girl doesn’t love fresh flowers? I thought it would be fun if each person could take home a floral arrangement. I spoke with the manager at our local grocery store to see if he wanted to help me with my mission. He too wanted to participate. I couldn’t believe it! They gave me a significant discount on the flowers. My jaw was on the floor! Even as I’m sharing this story, I remain stunned at God’s goodness and extravagant giving.
I planned on aligning the small glass vases in a cluster, mimicking a long floral runner down the center of the table. Red, pink and cream-colored roses spilled out of them alongside the vibrant pink alstroemeria. Keep in mind that you don’t always have to go to a florist for flowers. You can usually find them at your local grocery store too.

A soft white tablecloth was the platform upon which a gorgeous sheet of soft pink and silvery-white polka-dot wrapping paper would lay as the table runner. Baroque glass votives would be sprinkled here and there to bring a touch of softness and warmth.
I added white dotted dinner plates and nestled sleek salad plates on top of braided silver chargers for the dinnerware. Keeping a cohesive color pattern, I thought it would be fun to alternate pink and red fabric napkins and thread them through shiny silver napkin rings. Napkin rings I like to think of as the “earrings” on the table. I added sweet-pea water goblets and tied it all together with silver flatware. The centerpiece filled with gorgeous blooms in mini glass vases for the ladies to take home, made this table a crowd pleaser for sure.
P.S. Note of Encouragement
Talk about “Wow” when you give God your “Yes!” As a result, my guests hearts were filled when they saw their Heavenly Father’s love IN REAL LIFE. Mission accomplished!
What’s on YOUR heart? Do you have a dream such that you have no idea how wheels will ever be put on the vision? Let me encourage you. Take a step of faith. Just like Peter did when stepped out in faith and walked on water. There is nothing too big that you cannot accomplish if you bring God into the mix. I pray He helps you see the dreams that are in your heart come true too. It just takes giving Him your, “Yes!”
