Don’t you just LOVE a good brunch? It’s the perfect combination of breakfast and lunch where you get to have the best of both worlds. If you want eggs with your salad, this is pretty much the only time when it’s legal. Even if it doesn’t sound like a very tasty combination, it’s an option. It’s nice to have options. LOL!
Here you will find some sweet and savory brunch ideas that can be recreated for you and your guests in the simplest way. It just takes some good food, a small table, a countertop, or a bar cart to be the canvas you will use to hold your food design. For this one, we used a bar cart.
Come and join our little family celebration as we share with you some sweet, savory, and simple brunch ideas that you can use for your next gathering.

Sweet, Savory, and Simple Inspiration
I’ve been wanting to stage a brunch on our bar cart for a while, now. I decided to host this little gathering in my families honor and invite them into the kitchen to show my appreciation. Even though this “brunch” was served as their dinner, it was a great fit after a jam packed day. The timing was perfect because life has been crazy busy lately, and my family has been so wonderful to help out in the midst of the craziness.

Sweet Bar Cart Embellishments
In light of the small space on my bar cart, I kept the décor “easy-peasy” by using two embellishments: faux pumpkins, and mosaic tiled votive candle holders. To make things feel a little more fancy, I laid out buffalo checked linen napkins and placed the flatware on top. The wine goblets were the perfect addition of sparkle to the bar cart ensemble.
Conclusion
I hope you are inspired to create your own fun gathering with these sweet, savory, and simple brunch ideas. Stage it beautifully and enjoy your guests, every minute you have them over.
P.S. A Note of Encouragement
Take a moment in the middle of busy life and stop and savor your loved ones. If you are a mom with babies still at home (they will always be your babies), take a minute to intentionally engage with them.
I remember on our wedding day, at the reception, my Daddy pulled me aside and he told me to capture the moment because it’s gonna go by fast. I stood back and took it all in, with my eyes and my heart.
Life has a funny way of either crawling like molasses or speeding like a rollercoaster. In the speeding moments, take a minute every day, or a couple a day, and be engaged with those around you. Laugh, cry, run, walk, skip, dance, talk, enjoy, and cherish those that are in your life. You will create some beautiful photographs in your mind to remember those times when you stopped, and looked. Be present today!
