Once upon a time, there was a girl named Dani who was about to marry her prince charming. His name was Dave and he was everything she could ever want in a man and soon-to-be husband. After he asked her to marry him, the oh-so-fun party planning began. In light of Dani’s floral background, it was no coincidence that she wanted a garden themed bridal shower with lots and lots of flowers. Here we will showcase some of the sweetest indoor garden party decorating ideas that she used at her bridal shower, and more.

Long, Long Ago…
As you probably know, the Dani girl mentioned above is indeed yours truly. 😊 It’s hard to believe that my bridal shower was over 16 years ago. I WISH I had good pictures to share with you from that special event, but the quality of them is not the best. However, the ideas and tips, to this day, are high-quality, super trendy, and definitely worth replicating. 🤍
Our bridal shower felt like we stepped into a secret garden, even though it was inside our sweet church. We transformed the chapel into a wonderland with the help of some beautiful flowers, faux trees, and garden essentials.
I am so excited to share the details with you. Without further ado, let’s dig into the decorating so you can be inspired with ideas for your upcoming bridal shower or garden party.
Indoor Garden Party Bridal Shower Ideas
Wheelbarrow Décor
We were so blessed to be able to use the church’s supplies and décor, but we did have to bring in MANY of our pieces from home. Including my dad’s old wheelbarrow. Nobody even noticed the age of this priceless gem once we tucked in beautiful faux flowers and had them spilling over the sides. This piece alone was a show-stopper!
I want to encourage you to use the resources around you when looking for decorations and BORROW what you can. Because we did just that, the wheelbarrow display did not cost us a penny. Look around your home, ask friends and family members, or maybe even your church if you can use some of their pieces. You’d be surprised how much you can gather in your borrowing hunt with the price tag being free.
Water Fountain
My mom had a water fountain in our backyard that we disassembled and brought up to the church for the party. Even though it was A LOT of work bringing in cement pieces, the work was WORTH every effort. It provided sounds like that of a rainforest and brought another layer of those garden feels to our shower.
Feel free to take this idea and run with it. I believe it will help set the mood of your garden party and make it pop with intentionality and style.
Lush Greens- Faux Trees
We used faux trees that brought in the beautiful green colors you would see in a lush garden. The church had many that we collected from different rooms. We staged them in clusters all around the outskirts of the chapel.
The trick when using faux trees is to use a clustering strategy in light of most of the trees looking a little sparse. Doing so will give a fuller look to the tree ensemble.
You can take this look to the next level by adding fairy lights to the branches. If you go this route, make sure to add fairy lights to another spot in the décor, such as the centerpieces or gift table. You want everything to look cohesive and thoughtfully positioned. Designers say it’s best to mimic a particular look in a couple of different places to tie everything in.
Flower Pot Centerpieces
My soon-to-be Mother-in-LOVE was so kind to provide the spring tulip pots that we used as centerpieces. Every round table set the stage for these colorful blooms, which were also used as giveaway prizes.
I originally wanted to use potted plants with wispy grasses inside, but couldn’t find any that suited my fancy. Sometimes it’s slight changes in plans that become the best option. I’m so happy we went with the bright-colored tulips.
Bridal Shower Party Favors- Tiny Clay Pots and Seeds
We found the cutest tiny clay pots and tucked flower seed packets inside. Then, we stuck 3-D butterfly stickers on the outside of each vessel and tucked a little thank you note inside.
We placed these little cuties at each place setting. They added another layer of texture and décor the garden party tablescapes.
Garden Party Engagement Picture Placemats
At our bridal shower, we took a picture from our engagement photos and stretched it to fit on a large sheet of copy paper. We used them as placemats which became the perfect engagement picture reveal. Some of our guests even took them home as mementos.
Here is a peek at what they looked like.
Bridal Gowns Display
Creating a backdrop of wedding dresses was one of the sweetest elements that were added to our indoor garden party decorating ideas. We had three of the older ladies bring in their wedding dresses and staged them on mannequins. Then we pinned florals to certain sections of the gowns to tie in the garden theme.
The dresses were fun talking pieces and opened the door for three of our favorite guests to reminisce about their special days. You could feel the LOVE in the air.
Rainforest Sounds
Another indoor garden party idea is to add special sounds/music that will help set the mood and highlight the theme of your gathering. Click here to check out an amazing YouTube channel with birds chirping and waterfalls flowing. This is exactly what our shower sounded like. 🤍

P.S. Note of Encouragement
Life happens, right? Things change as quickly as the days go by. Circumstances don’t always work out the way we hoped they would, and we have to pick up the pieces and figure out another way. That’s just real life, right?
Just like my centerpiece plan, as small a change as that was, I had to pivot and find a different option. May I encourage you in the “life happens” moments?
God’s got you. He knew that was going to happen. And the good news is, He has a plan. He’s trying to get you to where you NEED to be. He knows the end from the beginning. He knows what makes you tick and what would make your heart sing many times even better than you do.
Trust the process. I’m preaching this to the choir right now. Trust that the circumstances in life will work out, and things will be way better in the long run than if they had remained the same.
