Simple Father’s Day Tablescape Ideas
Incorporate Wood Textures
Wooden pieces, incorporated on a table, offer a more masculine tone. You can use chargers, napkin rings, or even candle holders to bring in a more rustic feel that guys can appreciate.
I fell in love with these mini charcuterie boards from HomeGoods and knew they would be adorable on this Father’s Day tablescape, used as salad/appetizer plates to add another layer of wooden texture.
Father’s Day Centerpieces Ideas
Guys typically aren’t into fluffy florals, so choosing something like an indoor/outdoor tin utensil caddy, filled with practical dinner supplies, is a great alternative (because most guys are “practical” π). I found this cute one at HomeGoods.
I placed gold flatware, a faux eucalyptus plant (found at Home Goods), and bottles of sparkling apple juice in the caddy. You can house just about anything in one of these handy tins, from pretzel rods and s’mores goodies to soda cans or bottle waters. The options are limitlessβlet your creativity flow!
Another favorite centerpiece option I love to use is food– one of those DIY Father’s Day tablescape ideas. I especially enjoy showcasing a beautifully decorated “extra large” cake π made or decorated by my sister Angela at Sweet Annie, similar to the one you see in the pictures, or creating a charcuterie board with foods that match my color scheme. Click here and here to see an example of when I used food as my centerpieces. π
Use Masculine Colors on your Father’s Day Table
When styling a masculine tablescape, I love to use colors like blue, black, brown, gold, silver, and gray. Start with an inspiration piece that showcases one of these colors, such as blue-trimmed dinner plates and navy blue linen napkins, then incorporate another hue or two to add layers of depth and texture to your table design.
Our Father’s Day Dinner Menu
For our Father’s Day menu, I aimed to keep things simple and sweet with a generous helping of bacon. LOL! After all, my dad and hubby, like most guys, love bacon. We enjoyed turkey, bacon, and swiss sub sandwiches with homemade mayo/ranch (packed with bacon), our Mississippi sweet and savory baked beans (with bacon) (click here for the recipe), coleslaw, barbecue potato chips, and carrots and celery. Nothing fancy, just everything packed with flavors that my precious guys love! π
For dessert, we indulged in my husband Dave’s FAVORITE chocolate cake (click here for the recipe) and cookies and cream ice cream. The meal was delectable and left everyone wanting to roll onto the sofa to stretch out, afterward. LOL!
We also kept it simple with the beverages, offering S. Pellegrino, filtered water, sparkling apple juice, and coffee. The small bottles you see tucked into the centerpiece tin are sparkling apple juices. I loved the golden hue of the juice and the gold capsβthey perfectly matched the tablescape colors. You won’t believe where I found themβDollar Tree! π

Many of the items showcased in the pictures were found at HomeGoods and Dollar Tree. Yes, even the wooden chargers were once Dollar Tree finds. Keep an eye out for when they restock.
