5 Ingredients Artisan Bread Ingredients
- 6 Cups All-Purpose Flour
- 2 1/2 Teaspoons Pink Sea Salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon Instant Dry Yeast
- 1/2 Teaspoon Honey
- 2 2/3 Cups Water

Preheat oven to 425°
Tip- When preheating the oven, place the roasting pan, with the lid on, to heat up until the desired temperature.
Add flour, salt, yeast, and honey and mix using a Kitchen Aid or stand mixer. Add water and mix again until the dough sticks together. Remove the vessel from the mixer and cover it with plastic wrap. Let the dough rise for 12-20 hours. Lots of wiggle room for the timeframe.
Tip– I like to make the dough in the evening and let it rise overnight. Place in a warmer space by a heat duct if you need the dough to rise faster. You will know it’s ready when it doubles in size and has air bubbles on the top.
Flour a cutting board and your hands, and place the homemade artisan bread dough on top. Fold the dough over itself a few times and cover with a flour-dusted tea towel. Let it rise for 2-3 more hours.
Preheat your oven with the roasting pan or Dutch oven (lid on) inside the oven.
Add another dusting of flour to the artisan bread dough to make sure the top of the dough is not sticky. Remove the pan from the oven, and flip the dough into the pan, flour side down.
Cover and bake for 40 minutes. Remove lid and bake for another 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
Carefully remove the bread from the roasting pan and cut it into slices. Serve with your favorite butter (ours is Kerrygold), cream cheese, or honey, and bon appetit!
